I have a none horsey husband, he is learning, but there is still a long way to go. Once blanket season hits every morning he asks "Do I leave the blanket on?" So I found this handy chart from The Cheshire Horse that I printed out and have in the house and the barn from him to reference. I also make sure the blankets are labeled so he knows which ones are which.
